Mule Manure Galore- Kaibab Trail

Day 10
July 2, 2016
Hike down into the Grand Canyon via the MULE POOP trail also known as the Kaibab Trail.
After going on this hike, I feel like I should send an email to the National Park System. The mule tours ruined this awe-inspiring trail for us. The smells and piles/puddles of excrement were disgusting. If you go, go early, like 5:00 a.m. to avoid this atrocity. People who take the mules should be embarrassed and feel guilty!

Kaibab Trail- Coconino Overlook

Only .7 miles down into the Canyon

Supai Tunnel - About 2 miles down into the Canyon

About 2.2 Miles down into the Canyon on the Kaibab Trail.

Now time for the trudge back up. Remember we are already at 7,000 feet- difficult to breathe!

Point Imperial- highest viewpoint at 8,803 ft.

Back at our lodge, Ian is using his new knife.

The boys built a mini log cabin from the cut down trees in the woods.

Sunset from our cabin.
Last night in the Grand Canyon.
Tomorrow we drive to Sedona!
